Used Ram 1500 radiators, A/C compressors & cooling parts
We sell used Ram 1500 radiators, air conditioning compressors and condensers, cooling fan assemblies, heater cores and blower motors from 2009 to 2026 trucks. Two things decide fit here and neither of them is the model year on its own: which engine the truck has, and whether it was built with a tow package, because a tow-package truck carries heavier cooling than the same truck without one. We read both off the donor before a part is tagged and ask for yours before quoting.
Why does the tow package change which radiator I need?
Because towing is a heat problem before it is a power problem. A truck ordered to pull a trailer gets more cooling capacity than the same truck ordered without, which can mean a different radiator, a different fan assembly and an extra transmission cooler in front of the rad. Fit the lighter part to a truck that tows and it will be fine in April and marginal in July on a grade with a trailer behind it. The build sheet or the sales codes on the glovebox label tell us which one you have; send us either, or just tell us whether the truck has a factory hitch and trailer wiring.

Can I fit a used A/C compressor myself?
The bolts are the easy part. The system has to be emptied properly before anything is opened and vacuumed and recharged after, with the right amount of the right refrigerant, using equipment that recovers what is in there rather than venting it. That means a shop with an A/C machine and a technician certified to handle refrigerant, which is the law's concern as much as good practice. So we sell the compressor and tell you plainly that the install is a booked job, not a driveway job. A compressor that failed by coming apart internally also sends debris through the system, so ask your shop whether the condenser and drier need replacing at the same time; fitting a good used compressor into a contaminated system is how people buy the same part twice.
Is a used radiator worth it?
For an older truck, often yes, especially where the original failed from stone damage or a cracked plastic tank rather than age. We only tag radiators that are clean inside, straight and not seeping. For a truck you plan to keep and tow with, a new radiator is a fair thing to buy new, and we will say so rather than push a used one at you.
Shipping cooling parts in Ontario
Compressors, blower motors and heater cores are compact and ship anywhere in Ontario by courier at the buyer's expense. A radiator, a condenser or a full fan shroud is light but large and easily bent, so those go in a rigid box with corner protection, and for a buyer outside driving range of Hamilton we will quote small freight rather than risk a crushed core in a soft parcel. Pickup is welcome and is how most Golden Horseshoe buyers take these home.
